My brother forced my hand and took a jumpstart on the topic, i removed it from the scouting page because i want to keep scout comments seperate and ive moved it here now...so you can read it
Zuhair's basketball journey: It all started on nba live 2005 in the year 2004, i loved that game, it was my first NBA game i ever really got into playing. Then i moved out here in Bolingbrook which there was nothing to do unless u have a car. Then the basketball courts were built so i started playing there. Everyone probably remembers the 12 year old kid who everyone left open for easy jumpshots, but of course back then thats all i could do. I got cut from the team in 7th and 8th grade and was extra mad (at the time) but now that i look back on it...I SUCKED BACK THEN. I remember i used to go play at the same neighborhood park, and be the last one picked up ALL THE TIME. But starting halfway through Freshman year i started getting better on offense, and getting moves to get open for my jumpshots. But I couldnt drive in or play defense. Starting sophomore year I was virtually the same player. but somehow got more respect on the "streetball world" at the same park. (Because in streetball you dont need defense) The end of my sophomore year came to a bigger improvement, i got smarter, and watched a lot of kevin durant tapes to get some different triple threat moves. I could also drive in now with either my right or left, but still gotta work on finishing ALL THE TIME. Ive been out basically everyday this summer at the park, or sometimes when friends give me rides to gyms (those were the same friends who used to pick me last for every team when i first started playing) , and play everyday. This summer is preperation for my senior year of Varsity basketball, cuz im not trying out this upcoming Junior year. My Journey with basketball will probably never end, im going to try to play in college. And hopefully my career will be as a NBA analyst/journalist.
You can discuss your own journeys, or comment on Double J's (aka Juju) journey below. You can also ask questions for more details or any other advice. I'll probably post mine soon as well.
So have at it and leave comments
